Speak Easy Philosophy

Make

a Better Life

for you and your family

The physical road to recovery can be daunting with no concrete solutions [looking different from individual to individual]. But, spiritually there’s only one-way.

A Bastard Child

This conversation should resonate with all my yoke-brothers that are caught up in the thralls of addiction. How many more times must we yield our members over to the traps, snares, pitfalls, and the hangman’s noose of addictions!? The very nature of an addict is not defined by what bottles we drink out of, what bags we are smoking out of, and/or what vain we are trying to plug. The nature of an addict is predicated solely on a Jekyll and Hyde syndrome. Dr. Jekyll would be the Addictive Personality [traits that make us more prone to develop addictions to drugs, alcohol, or other habit-forming behaviors]. And Mr. Hyde would be the Narcissistic Personality [God like complex]. Imagine, if you will—and you will— The brightest lights created by man. And the only frame of reference these lights have is the penetrating glares that echoes throughout the whole house, and the skeletal structure designed of this house is made of glass [the walls, floors and ceilings are completely made out of glass]. Now encapsulate for one moment, where in this house could you hide and/or escape the heat of your reflection!? Please say not to yourself this is but a trivial thing. Because in the life of addict’s reflections are everything. The world will continue to misdiagnose the addict because they failed to understand the nature of an addict. They failed to understand that addiction is not a disease but a choice. The scenario I described above is commonplace in the life of an addict, where most people would succumb to the pressure of the piercing lights because they live and die in their own reflection [they see themselves how other’s perceive them]. Not so with an addict. The selfishness of an addict has no equal, most addicts subscribe to the philosophy, “it’s my life, I can do whatever I want with it!” Because of this line of reasoning they pay tribute to no-one…truly a bastard child]. An addict beholding his natural face in a window sees Dr. Jekyll, [instantaneously] reveling in the fact that the length and width and height and depth of all his accomplishment in this lifetime and beyond will be immortalized in Mr. Hyde.

Can I just say what a relief to search out somebody who actually is aware of what theyre speaking about on the internet. You definitely know how to carry a difficulty to mild and make it important. More individuals must read this and perceive this side of the story. I cant imagine youre not more in style since you definitely have the gift. Chrysa Harp Town
